About A Journey of Art-spiration I : Faces…

This series is an attempt to tell my story; the many faces (phases) of life that come to mind as I began the journey of art in 2017. The fate of an untied nuptial knot made me see life in a different light. I began to appreciate the colors around me that have always been there but went unseen.

Being an artist has made me see with more clarity that any uncertainty may be a certainty after all; very much like starting on an empty canvas. With every stroke that I execute, lines emerge translating my inner thoughts and feelings onto the blank canvas. As I paint I relish the transfer of energy and freedom reminiscent of my past athletic prowess which are evidently reflected in the strong and almost uncontrollable parabolic lines you see here.

Working on “Faces” has indeed been a joyful ride although at times laced with anxieties of achieving perfection. It has also been a self-healing journey filled with surprises, limitless artistic possibilities and discovery that my track of life will continuously begin again and again with every piece that I paint.
